Job Summary:
Axon Underwriting is seeking a highly capable and collaborative Senior Technology Associate to join our team. This role will see you partner with the Senior Vice President of Technology in executing strategic initiatives, managing technical operations, and driving innovation across our underwriting platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise and a proactive mindset, ready to immediately contribute in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage core platforms, including Azure, M365, and our proprietary internal systems.
- Write and optimize SQL (queries, views, stored procedures) to support underwriting analytics and operational reporting.
- Support device rollout, credentialing, access control, and system configuration management.
- Assist in development and optimization of proprietary systems including rating platforms and submission portals.
- Contribute to API integrations and ensure seamless data flow between internal and external systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving platform bugs.
- Collaborate with underwriting, compliance, finance, and external vendors.
- Participate in weekly project check-ins and maintain alignment with strategic priorities.
- Assist with internal audits and ensure adherence to data privacy regulations.
- Support prototyping and deployment of new tools to enhance underwriting workflows.
- Research emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years pf experience in IT or Technology Operations, preferably in insurance or underwriting.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, compliance and data security.
- Proficiency in SQL, .NET development, Excel-based rating tools, and enterprise systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
