Somerville, NJ – Axon Underwriting Services LLC and RQA, Inc. are pleased to announce that they have entered into a partnership under which Axon’s Crisis Management insurance policy holders will now be able to benefit from RQA’s Global Product Recall consultancy support.

Axon’s Crisis Management is led by Marcos Garcia Norris (Senior Vice President) and Alex Pittignano (Senior Vice President) bringing on board a combined underwriting experience of over 45 years. The addition of Crisis Management to Axon’s suite of best-in-class specialized insurance products, expands in-house underwriting capabilities to offer Contaminated Product Recall, Consumer Goods Product Recall, and Restaurant Foodborne Illness & Contamination insurance. All three products will be underwritten in partnership with the E&S/Specialty companies of Nationwide®, a Fortune 100 company (A+:AM Best; A+:S&P; A1:Moody’s), and will offer a capacity of USD $10 million.
RQA will be providing pre-event expert crisis consultancy support to Axon’s clients and also 24/7 product recall incident support during an event. The scope of pre-event services may include assistance with development of product recall plans, recall training and simulated exercises as well as a range of food safety and consumer product safety services designed to reduce risk. In the case of a live incident, insured clients can call RQA’s Axon’s-dedicated 24/7 incident response hotline and RQA will provide support as required including advice on development of an action plan, decision making, risk assessment, communication, testing, traceability and identifying sources of product fault or contamination.
